FAQs
Does my child have to stay for a whole session?
No, you can collect your child/ren when it is convenient for you. However, if you have booked a full session and you arrive early to pick up your child/ren, we are unable to offer you a refund. If you have booked a place in advance and wish to cancel it, you need to give us 48 hours notice or you will be charged. Please contact us via the club mobile or alternatively the school office.
Can my children use the after school club even if they don’t attend Malden Manor?
We are happy for children to attend from other schools but unfortunately we do not offer a pick up service.
Are the staff that will be caring for my child qualified and CRB checked?
All the staff are employed by the school and have a play worker qualification, NVQ or are Teaching Assistants within the school. Every member of staff has an up to date CRB check. There will always be a qualified first aider on site. Staff regularly attend training to keep their knowledge and skills up to date.
Registration and Payment
Before your child can start you will need to fill out a Registration Form and there is a one-off registration charge of £5. Please book and pay for your sessions in advance. You can pay monthly or weekly to suit your needs. We accept cash, cheques or internet payments made through the school payment system. We accept all childcare salary sacrifice vouchers and childcare tax credit payments can be made according to individual situations. For parents or carers on training courses you may be able to get help with your childcare costs via the college.
All fees are re-cycled back into the club, this is a non- profit making organisation.
Once your family is registered with the club you can book ad hoc or emergency places at any time. These should be paid for on the day. Phone the club mobile or ask the school office to contact us. Alternatively call in and speak to us during club opening times.
