Welcome to Malden Manor Primary School

Welcome to Malden Manor, where our aim is to provide an educational experience of the highest quality for all the children in our care. By creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, we seek to capture pupils’ interest, extend their knowledge and raise their aspirations. Our teaching and learning is designed to bring learning to life, both in the classroom and through a variety of inspiring experiences in the wider community. In line with our objective of being the best we can be, we encourage children to take an active role in their education, developing the skills they need for independent learning. Parental involvement is vital for children to achieve their best so it is encouraged at every stage of learning.

Malden Manor is a vibrant and welcoming community in which we strive for the highest standards of attainment – whether academic, artistic or sporting. We find and nurture hidden talents, celebrating the strengths of every child.

Our expectations in terms of both learning and behaviour are high and the children respond with delightful enthusiasm, politeness and consideration for others. Our broad curriculum and rich programme of extra-curricular activities – including the popular breakfast and after-school clubs – provide a well-rounded education, supported by excellent pastoral care. Together with my team of dedicated staff and governors, I invite you to visit the school to see for yourself the fantastic opportunities it offers your child.

Head's Welcome

updated Key worker information Friday 20th March 2020

Dear Parent/Carer

The Key Worker list was released late last night, the advice is still if you are able to care for your child safely at home then this should be the course of action you follow. The list includes the following:

  • Health and Social Care - doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, social workers, care workers, frontline health and social care staff, producers and distributers of medicines and medical and personal protective equipment
  • Education and childcare - nursery and teaching staff, social workers and specialist education professionals
  • Key public services - justice system, religious staff, journalists and broadcasters who are providing public service broadcasting
  • Local and national government - administrative occupations essential to the effective delivery of the COVID-19 response or delivering essential public services
  • Food and other necessary goods - food production, processing, distribution, sale and delivery
  • Public safety and national security - Police, Ministry of Defence civilians, armed forces personnel, fire and rescue, prison and probation staff
  • Transport - includes those who will keep air, water, road and rail passenger and freight transport modes operating
  • Utilities, communication and financial services - staff needed fr essential financial services provision

Unfortunately we are now no longer able to run Breakfast and After School Club due to staffing issues therefore school hours for children coming in will be 8.45am-3.20pm. You will need to provide your child with a packed lunch and PE kit each day, they will also need to be in school uniform. Children will need to be in school all day.

Please drop them off at the Sheephouse Way pedestrian entrance each morning, this is also going to be the collection point. We will not be able to permit parents onto the school site.

Please email the school office if your child will be attending school with the following information:

  • child's name
  • child's class and year group
  • your name
  • your key worker role
  • days required

Children will not need to attend everyday.

If you have any other questions please contact the school office.

Thank you for your continued support
